I got bored with the previous WordPress template and since I found a very nice (simple, but still attractive one), I decided to refresh the look of overuseee.com

the original is at massivepress.com and found it on the developers site where he announced the theme.

it still needs a little bit of fine tuning, but already at this stage it is nicer than the previous one, which I started to use in February 2008.

the new template immediately brought up a problem, with Scribfire, the blogging Firefox extension I use… it can not handle custom fields, and with the new theme, the picture on the front page is indeed should be a custom field…

and finally… a company recognise the business potential in Linux users…

Novamedia, a german company released drivers and a nice gui for 3G modems for the EeePC, Launch2Net for Linux. Since I purchased their connectivity software in the past for my MacBook (and used it happily), I am sure that I will also try at least the demo version of its Linux counterpart. Which looks almost identical to the OSX version. Nice job Novamedia!

According to the description on the Novamedia Linux page, it supports (on the EeePC) most modern 3G hardware.

Worth to try…

Update (08.09.2008): Tested on EeePC 900 and works well… installation was a bit flaky, because after downloading and installing the deb file from Novamedia, I had to manually add repositories to sources.list, but then that installation was a simple matter of sudo apt-get install launch2net

Nice…
